Hi all,
For my final year project im building an online game based around FIA GT2 regulations featuring Cinq's and Sei's. After lots of research ive finally put together a game scenario from which i can start designing the game and program it.

I hope to have it built and preliminary testing done by early - mid January. However to complete the testing i will need to sort a Beta round. If anyone is interested please post here your interest and PM me your email address so i can contact you all with updates and when its finally ready for testing. There will be a proper mailing system for it, but ive not finished it yet, so i'll add you all manually :)

Thanks Luke.

Ps.. The scenario (Sorry in advance, its a long one)
Cento Challenge is an exciting new text based MMORPG based on a FIA GT2 championship featuring Group N cars; the Cinquecento and Seicento Sporting. Throughout the championship you get to race alongside others to gain points towards winning the acclaimed Cento Challenge Cup!

The Championship
You will get the chance to create your own custom private championship to compete against a group of friends, or join a public championship and compete against members all over the world. Race through the 12 event schedule (1 each week) and earn points towards winning the championship. At the end of the championship, the team with the most points wins the Cento Challenge Cup, and gets a place in the hall of fame!

Championships need a minimum of 8 teams to start, and is capped at 38. You have the option to password protect your private championship to stop any unauthorised team from entering.

The Team
You as a team manager get to take control of either a Cinquecento or Seicento Sporting through a race championship. You also have to hire 2 drivers for your car, train them, and pay their wages. You must then setup the car for the race, and ensure your driver strategy matches what you’re trying to achieve.

Whatever car you choose will have numerous setup options (such as suspension stiffness and height, brake bias, ARB stiffness and tyre pressures) and customisation features (such as car livery). If you wish to change car after the championship is up, you are free to do so. Else, you keep the same car with all your livery and saved setups.

Your drivers will be selected from a pool of generic drivers, and it’s up to you to train them to your specific needs. Each driver will have their own character (fixed, such as lucky, aggressive, placid, consistent or wise) and skills that can be trained. Such skills would include mechanical minded, cornering, speed and awareness. Each driver will also have an experience rating, which increases up to an optimum point through use.

The Races
Each race takes place on the Sunday. On the build up to it you will have ample opportunity to setup your car and take it out test runs. You will then take place in a qualifying run on the Saturday, ready to determine your starting place in Sunday’s race.

On the test runs, you’ll be given hints as to what your setup is weak on so you can improve for future runs. The amount of runs you per session, and the amount of sessions you get a week depends on the championship settings.

During the race it’s possible to have accidents or minor setbacks (from traffic or time penalties). The chance of this depends on your driver’s skill, and also the other surrounding driver’s skill. But on the whole, the race should go smoothly. Your lap times will be recorded allowing you to track your progress throughout the game. Your ending position will depend on your overall time. Your lap times will be based on the car setup, driver skill and race strategy. Your grid position will also have a factor in your overall race.

If you finish first, you pick up the maximum 10 points available. 2nd gets 9 points, 3rd gets 8 etc. If you win your race, you will be given a 20kg handicap weight for the next race. If you come second you’ll get a 15kg handicap weight or if you come 3rd you’ll get 10kg handicap weight. It’s possible to accumulate up to 50kg. If you then subsequently place outside the top 3, you’ll have your handicap weight removed at the rate of -10kg for 4th place, -15kg for 5th place, or -20kg for anything less than 6th place.

The Community
During your stay, you will have the use of a forum made available to you. Each championship will have a private chat section as well as a global forum for all. You can discuss anything championship related in your own section or anything else in the global sections. Cento challenge isn’t all about racing; it’s about making friends and having fun in the process!

There will be moderators of each section of the forum. If the championship is a user created one, the creator will have some limited moderation controls over their private section. The use of language should be kept pleasant, so obscene words will be filtered out.
