basicly would it be illegal for my sister to drive her car home like this?-

driving a car during the day with no lights is perfectly legal, but not a t night obviously. as long as the bonnet is secure you have no problem. i've driven far worse cars

Phone the police. If you're straight with them they'll let you know exactly where you stand. You prob can't drive it as it's not roadworthy.. i.e. wouldn't pass an MOT in its current state.

Well remove any sharp glass or anything that could hurt someone, you will need to hang some indictor bulbs out so people know if shes turning.

All she has to say is that it just happened if she gets pulled over.

The Police are touchy about this kind of thing they will either turn a blind eye or make a fuss about it.

One of my cars was parked on the side of the road like this before because it couldnt be moved and the police tryed to make out that i had been driving it (even though the car had no radiator, bumper, headlights and indicators) and said that it shouldnt be kept on the road, well what do you pay tax insurance and mot for...

If you joined the AA, RAC or Green Flag you wouldn't be having these problems..

yup for under £30 a year its worth it,hell when i was studying my break down cover was £2.12 a month

How far away is it? Didn't you mention it pished water everywhere, that will limit your range.

if thats the case DO NOT DRIVE IT! with no cooling system it'll only take 10-15 mins to blow the head gasket and warp the head.

well how far its being driven, i can walk in about 7 minutes, so its not far!

She should have driven it home straight away.

When my Tipo got totalled:



I drove it home 8 miles with no bumper, no front plate, no right indicator and no right headlamp.

Should have just taken it home at least that way it would be on file that the incident had just happened providing you called your insurance merchants.

the AA dont recover you free from a crash no more, they bill you and expect it too be payed, if you are third party covered only and are at fault, then you pay out of your own money
