my car my gorgeous car v's idiot in a green truck thing

what an afternoon.

went out in me car to meet me mum and dad in a pub. so am driving along in my gorgeous freshly polished nice and shiny bravo. and i go to turn right off the main road. and this ******* truck driver is along side me. i start to over take as he is slowing down for the lights to go straight on and am going to be turning right. the stupid idiot starts to move out (without indicating) and for no reason what so ever.

i feel a slight pushing on the left hand side off my car and i beep my horn. in resulting me getting the finger.

the stupid f****** driver has only scratched the passenger side wing, the passenger door and my passenger mirror. i can't even look at the left hand side of my car without feeling sick. i am so flamin angry its not true.

did you stop? get details?

happened so fast and i was in such a daze and panic. he just drove off.

Inform police. If you can remember any details - Leaving the scene of an accident is a criminal offence afaik.

yeah but he probably did not even know what he had done. and all the police would say is we can't do anything without any details of the other veichile.

Give the Police any details. Colour, size, make, description of driver, company name, or even some letters of the number plate.
If they find this driver, there will be damage ,or at least remnants of your paint work on there.

I had the same thing happen when I had my focus, but I even chased the guy while my wife was on the phone to the police telling them that he would not pull over.

They tracked him down from all the details we gave them and what happened.....


Sod all, they gave him a telling off. I had to claim on my insurance, even though he failed to stop at an accident, because we had no witnesses (we had to chase the guy to get his details) so although there were 4 or 5 other cars that were there we didn't have time to get their help.

We said surely his driving away is proof enough who was to blame but no, the criminal walks away scott free AGAIN !!!!!

If so can you remember make of van and time it happened? May be enough.

nah it was just near the cheshire cheese pub on mancehster road heading towards altrincham at around 12:00. it was a green truck. not a hgv cause it did not bend in the middle. big sides, those canvassey sides. as far as i can remember there was nothing written on them. but i was rather dazed at the time.

well the car is booked in to the body shop a week on monday and its a full respray on that panel

doesnt have to bend in the middle to be classed as a HGV

The ones with the 'canvassey sides' sound like curtainsider trucks to me

whatever he drove or who ever he was. he has to be a very nasty person. for swearing at me and for scratching me car however

he was a stinking b****** for leaving the accident.
