For the medion knowledgeable amongst us.....

The car charger for the sat nav has suddenly stopped working. Tried it in the fag lighters in various other cars to make sure its not my fiat fag lighter that has bust which im pleased to say has not.

Anyway its only a minor inconvenience as i can charge it using the 3 pin plug charger you get, however as ive never dealt with medion aftersales and maybe some of you have, was wondering their reputation? good/bad?

Anyone got the link for the medionshop also as i have not got it as a bookmark on this comp?

Also do you reckon i am just as well waiting for a compatible in car charger to come up on ebay?

Yeah it's not fantastic, a hint is to ignore email (useless) and call them in the first place.

Re: For the medion knowledgeable amongst us.....

Know nuthing about this company but personally always start emails in a nice manner, well put and politely explain the situation and ask them how they would like to proceed. Usually get a favourable response.

However, If one came up on ebay i think i would just buy it (at the right price) to save the hassle!

dont know about the rest but isnt it most likely to be a broken wire in the car charger?

Possibly it just died was running fine then just wont hold a charge anymore, so the sat nav screen wont even turn on.

TBH i cant be assed fannying around fixing it when it would save me loads of time and if medion or ebay has one in stock i might as well buy one if its compatible i dont imagine them to be expensive, in comparison to a tomtom part

Unusual, supposedly a reliable unit.

Did you know that there is some sort of "hack" to make it work as a more standard PDA? Know nothing about it apart from that it exists.
