One of my low and highlights of 2016 was my Fiat Punto GT.

It had these gash drift j-tuner rubber band bobbins holding the bumper on...

...I thought they would be the first thing to go as I drove home but having to replace the headlights, repair the intercooler mounts, radiator pipe, intercooler pipe, exhaust, turbo, exhaust manifold and fabricating a new down pipe from scratch because the one on the car looked like it had been fabricated by a blind person with no hands or any comprehension of what a tape measure is.

The car was so low to the ground the bumper had to come off every time I needed it on ramps so those gash j-tuner drift rubber band bobbins were a God send in the end.

With all the negativity around 2016 what has been a pleasant surprise for you and your Fiat this year?

Oh by the way I hope you all have an incredible 2017 LK

For me, it was the ease with which it coped with taking meself and 3 friends to a concert 130 miles, then come back the next day: very comfortable the entire time, the boot swallowed all our junk for the night, it didn't feel like it was struggling with the weight, and apart from when I was getting a bit heavy with the acceleration after dropping my mates off, it had been returning 45mpg. Brilliant little car! :)

You've got all the street cred with that though. :p I must admit, if you're that low they're a great idea!

Made me go "hmm" - the random warning lights my car throws up when cruising for a while at 65/70, the fact I ended up letting all the air out my tyres with a dodgy air pump at home then being stuck with no way to reinflate, and it may need an alignment(?).

On a not car related note - back at uni. Yes for fun, no for stupid academia.
