The other day the television happened to be on in the room I walked into and "Charmed" was showing. I think it was E4. I remember the first time I saw it and it was basically the Alyssa Milano show but now Shannon Doherty? Ooooooommmmppphhh! :worship:

I'm noticing things and considering ideas I have never thought of before.

My Alfa GTV for example is a sensible car, my X1/9 is a classic investment and today I found myself looking at a new Alfa Mito Twinair.

I have never thought of buying a new car before crippling depreciation, new cars are nearly all crap and I'll get bored if nothing needs fixing; but Alfa Romeo are offering 0% finance on a new Mito Twinair and will take my £600 GTV as a full £1500 deposit.

Nice looking sensible little car with a brilliant engine and the Merkats only want £20 more than my GTV policy.

Am I getting old or finally growing up? :bang:

Is this happening to anyone else?

I was too young to appreciate Shannon in 90210 I thought that show was Beverly Hill Billies only without any humor.

I'll pass on the Mito offer I'd prefer the Cagiva namesake. ;)

I wasn't ,she was mustard :yum:, I watched that show religiously for about 2 years, I soooo wanted to be Steve sanders. He was 19 and driving to the gym in a corvette....... Years later I bought my first car a white panda. I never joined a gym....... Or went out with anyone who looked like Shannon. Dammit

If you hear a loud "thud" it's because I'm about to jump off the fence.

Even though the Mito is £3,500 more than the equivalent 500 and nearly £4,500 more than the Panda twin air I don't like the new Panda or 500

There I said it.

THUD!

For me the new Panda is far too big to be a Panda and the new 500 has always looked like a Nissan Micra. I would love an original 500 but the new one even though the BMW MINI politics do not apply it was a marketing ploy cashing in the MINI's wake. Also it's a girls car. ;)

The Mito is a handsome thing with styling that looks like it came directly from the same pen who drew the 8C

The twin air wouldn't be my first choice but it was the one on offer at 0% finance.

Now a twin air engine in an original 500? That's more like the kind of ideas I have. ;)

It's a good job that cars come in many guises because I wouldn't give the Mito house room. Something about the front doesn't look right to me  .

The "Should I swap my Stilo" thread got me on eBay looking at RX8's. The guy was quoted £7,250 insurance so I asked the Meerkats and got £194 fully comp' with £250 excess. :)

This getting old molarcy may not be all that bad. :)

Blimey!... seven grand to insure a car that's worth about fifty pence because no one wants them..... bargain!

After my last ban. Small print on my insurance issue I bought myself a rather nice and incredibly sexy Rover 213S. Some twunt in a Saxo ran into the back of me writing his car off and giving me an hours work taking the bumper off, pushing the boot floor straight with a press and putting the car back together again. I was so impressed by a quote I nearly had this made...

Look out for the Guff Cinquecento if you fancy a read. ;)

Think I'm getting old too.seem to hate everything new on tv drive a diesel panda and a sensible vectra thinking about a diesel estate. Seem to need economy and practicality rather than the v6s and turbo cars i used to own

I bought a private plate when I was fifty, does that mean I've grown up. I hope not

I bought my private plate when I was 23 so I don't think it is an indication of grown upness

Then again neither is buying a new car most kids these days seem to go and blow there first pay packet on a brand new car then wonder why a year later they can't afford to move out of mummy and daddy's house

The first car I owned was a New 1984 Vauxhall Nova, that was at 21 and I moved out of home at 26 into my own flat (with my wife). No idea when the kids will leave home, not to long I hope.

I've just seen the Funhouse twins in interview about the first show and taking a portable tv to the audition so they didn't miss an episode of neighbors.

Again, at the time "Meh", now "Wow". ;)
