Not a swipe at Ebay but at the sellers.

I bid with trepidation on an auction and won it, note the lack of bidders due to a. the phone is only available in USA and would require shipping to here and b. poor auction listing IMO.

On contact with email before I bidding I recieved a reply in txt speak and no answers to the questions I asked.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, I usually use PP so sent him an email asking what postage would be and then I recieved no comms all weekend!

Finally got one from him today after I mailed him again last night and he said he would only accept a cheque, so not wanting to be ripped-off (Scottish Viewers read as Bumped!) I offered PP but he refused so I told him to stick the phone.

Everything about it sounded dodgy but I was willing to be proved wrong given the back up of the CC company which I use for PP funds should it go bad but alas no bite.

I don't fancy Ebay's Protection of up to £120, sounds too long winded and drawn out TBH.

Ah well, co-incidently the thread on mobile sat nav was posted in the hope of getting this phone so that idea is out of the window now too.

Do you mean an N-Gage reflashed to think it is a 60 series phone like?

it is a N-gage, but i dunno what the hell reflashing is

the N-Gage is a phone that uses the Symbian operating system, (and a Memory card slot) so it can be used for sat nav!

the only real resaon i bought it, as im getting Route 66 satnav when i get round to it

I see, wasn't sure how the N-Gage ran, re-flashing is wiping the firmware and replacing it with a fresh one or different one.
