If it was a standard Gatso camera, sometimes they have the radar and flash working, but the camera could be elsewhere. Good luck with that.

I think the letter requesting driver's name has to go out within 14 days, so a bit of a waiting game.
 
:yeahthat: My bad. This popped its head up on my facebook the other day, and then saw it via a few friends. I read the article and assumed it was recent but a quick look on google shows a small flurry of activity around early 2003.
 
It was a mobile speed trap van thing
So no flashes etc
Im just waiting for letter in my otherhalfs name to arrive, as shes gotta nominate as i was the one driving

Iwent past one of them once, iwas in liverpool at the time, somewhere behind the airport.. country lane, houses with thatched roofs etc,
and they had the van tucked away, isweated for a few weeks expecting the worst, but nothing came of it, ive heard some of these vans are not actualy for clocking speeder's ..and that they couid actualy be out to read plates, ANPR not sure if thats true, iwas about 6-7mph over the s/l on unfamiliar road, not an excuse realy.. iwouid of just took it on the chin,

It is true, passed a unmarked one on the way to work (either this morning or yesterday, can't remember lol) and had some police bikes nearby to pull suspect vehicles over.

Has to have speed camera sign on the rear along with high-vis if doing speed I believe.
