I have multiple clock options, no previous pics are lost 
The new google maps has a street view history so you should be able to scroll back in time
The overhead view shows my Panda and Mrs. Beard's Stilo, whereas Street View only shows Mrs. Beard's 156 which replaced the Stilo.
I know Google blur out licence plates but a friend of mine was going through a rough patch with his marriage and he found out his wife had been seeing another man. They had a big row and finally ironed things out with the help of a Counsellor, his wife vowing that the affair was over......until he looked at Street View a few months later to see if his wife's new car was on it.
It was, but outside was the lover's car. Oops
Needless to say, the marriage is now over, as is his wife's car as the husband was paying for it as a way of helping to heal old wounds.

They've only ever taken one pass at it round here, I own a punto 55s on it..a car I got rid of in 2006.

They do already but you need to be in via Google Earth. I just checked my postcode and I have 7 aerial views, first one going back to 1945!I'd be good if they do a satellite view history in time to come

i've past the streetview car a few times but can only find the car outside hotel at le praz de lys in the alps with a fair amount of snow on the ground
