I've just got my 6th demand from companies claiming to represent UKPC.
3 from debt recovery plus, 2 from zenith collections and now a "letter before referral for legal action", again, from debt recovery plus.
And all because I parked my bus slightly askew of a marked bay!
Had I parked wholly within the bay, I would've been partially blocking the 'road', so, as I was in a space right beside a footpath area, I decided to park on the skew - seeing as the path was blocked with advertising A frames & therefore couldn't be used anyway!
My boss explained the predicament & how I would have to completely block the 'road' when I deployed the tail-lift to pick up my wheelchair passenger - but UKPC wouldn't give.
So, as is policy, the drivers pay their own fines - or in this case, ignore them
Let them come - they bleet on about sch 4 of protection of freedom act 2012 & how it refers to the recovery of unpaid parking charges, yet seem oblivious to the fact that they are hounding me for parking on the skew - so nothing to do with the fact that I didn't have to pay in the first place.
They need to make up their mind!
