Been like this for the last few hours now, I should have known better than to keep rubbing it, its the bit in the corner (by the nose) that has now concerned me, its got inflamed and the eye white near it when I look away from my nose is turning a funny red colour.

Anything to worry about, or worth doing to make it better

No, think I had an eye lash in it earlier but I think thats now gone, but just seems to be a tad sore now.

When itching strikes i like to use cold water

Why?
Flush's
And Cold = soothes, or stings depending how much you've rubbed

ive had this a few times once was dirt once was a thing grown on the back of the lid 2nd one i got cream for iirc, both times they said lay down with eyes shut and cover it with cotton wool pad soaked in warm water, should be more details on here in grumpy thread i think i made post moaning about it. i went walk in centre

Seems to ease if I keep it shut, think I might just go bed and sleep on it.

:yeahthat: I find some cold water to be best, give it a quick wash/splash and get some sleep. See how it is in the morning

You could have a stye

In the absence of any grinding or welding grit etc you've most likely irritated it.

If it continues you could pop in to any chemist for some chloramphenicol eye drops (get the drops the ointment is impossible to use.

If your still worried see your gp
