Description talks of how the caravan was behind the lorry for miles - so, when the lorry approached a red light in the left lane, why didn't the caravan take the right hand lane (along with the red car)?
The speed he comes past the lorry - some 17seconds after the lorry sets off kinda says something not quite right with the description. It's not like the lorry has F1 accelleration & certainly far, far slower than the car dragging the caravan, so how come it took the car almost 17s to get by?
My doblo isn't fast from the off but I'm pretty certain I could drag a caravan off the mark faster than that lorry.
I think it's more likely that the caravan was way back when he saw the lights change, already having some speed, he dropped a gear & floored it in the hope of getting by - hence the speed he seems to be going as the car comes into view.
With all the chaos that incident caused, I do hope investigators use every tool at their disposal - car computer, airbag sensors, even any mobile phones being used in the car as well as any cctv (if there is any).

From the looks of it, he is at a roundabout next to Xscape in Castleford, well within your rights to stay in the left hand lane there as you are technically going straight over the roundabout.

To me, it looks as if the micra was busy looking at you in the mirror and glanced up and thought the car in front was closer than they first thought.

Not too sure about brake checking though....

He braked when I mouthed the word which sound like anchor, which makes me think he did it on purpose

He probably did to be honest. A lot of people like that are complete pillocks who don't realise quite how dangerous their silly rages can be.

Didn't have footage unfortuantely.. but what i saw yesterday..

Saw a cyclist yesterday, undertook a bus as he pulled into the busstop (had been indicating for sometime) and then banged on the window and mouthed w***** at the busdriver, who couldn't possibly see him in the blindspot. The same cyclist then proceeded up the road and nearly got run over on the crossing by a taxi, which he went around the outside of while waiting at a crossing, then cut right in back to the pavement in front, which he had a go at. Then mouthed off as the bus went past again!

So - an open letter to him.

Dear the cyclist in Winton who nearly got KO'd twice in the space of ten seconds by two seperate vehicles..

1) It's all your fault.
2) Learn to ride a bike and stop being an eejit.
3) That salmon pink top was horrible. Get rid, seriously.
4) Your sunglasses are also stupid.

Lots of love,
A passenger on the bus who saw you. xxxxxx

True yes,no it shouidnt give a free pass.
But the language use'd there was wrong, simply no need for it,

Its called the Heat of the moment, when rage is stupendously high

The thing is the lorry driver will now have to explain everything to his boss who will/may not give him a bollocking because he could have avoided it

In any normal day to day situation its not acceptable, but tbh i would be exactly the same tbh

Regardless of who's right and wrong in this scenario, if someone ran me off the road/hit me then was gonna argue back, frankly I'd probably give them a mouthful.

I've had very elderly people slow down to have a go at me when they've pushed through parked cars and stuff when I had priority and was already moving; and frankly, I've told them where to stick it with little problem.

I'd be curious to see what happens after the video is cut though.

Assuming its a RHD UK truck, its got a caravan stuck at the side of him
So gotta get out the passenger side

He cant reverse as somebody's up his arse
The caravan can move because its wedged and anchored to the car still

So yes..... i bet the police loved them!

I think the trucker will come out almost as bad as the old guy.
Yes, he's a complete tosser who truly believes that indicating means everyone else has to give way to you, BUT, the lorry could see he wanted to come over & accellerated on purpose so as not to let him in.
His own camera evidence will seal his fate. Even a good editing package couldn't sort that mess out to his advantage.

When muppets meet.

You're right. They're both in for a good rodgering from their relative insurance companies
