needed a USB extension cable as the fag lighter to camera usb is short for neat wiring....

To get power to it by hiding cables I should thing it uses several std USB extension cables :)

With sat nav, this and usb memory stick for music this will need a 1 to 3 power socket adapter.

I did buy one in the end about a month ago off amazon and have been impressed with it the only issue Is it has issues with some colours mainly green in trees and grass, tend to come out a pink/coral colour other than that for what I paid which was £24 I can't fault it

Might invest!
Does anyone know what clips/mounts they come with?
I did cable tie a Kodak Zi6 to my front grill and take it for a spin a few months back, video came out really well! and that was 720p 30fps.

I wonder if there is any way of making these turn on remotely? so it could be placed on the grill and turned on mid journey without having to pull over? Might buy a couple and give it a go :p *gets the soldering iron out*

Can they be used whilst plugged in to a power source?

£15 i'm rather tempted myself haha! What do others make of it at a glance? Be good to get a couple of other opinions before i go flying in and buy

For £15 you can't go wrong. The same as one of mine which I paid £25 for :)

Just purchased this one as its from a uk business. So i'm (A) supporting our economy, and (B) got some reassurance should something go wrong and i don't have to track down and contact malaysian/thai/singapore/china/japanese companies ect.

Will upload a video to here once i get it, and have used it...and have worked out how to use it (y)

Probably Find its drop shipped from hongkong.

yep i fell for that one a company that claimed to be from the UK selling things on Amazon as SomethingUK (cant remember the company name now) anyway what I ordered (a small camera) took a month to arrive which was shipped from hongkong and after a month of waiting the thing didn't work, fortunately i got a refund without having to return but now can't be bothered to re-buy the item as lost trust in these sellers

I bought Veho VCC-003 Muvi Micro DV Camcorder: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics from amazon yesterday after reading hundreds of horror stories about the Chinese POS. (Microusb not working, odd colours, never arriving, no customer support) The video resolution isnt as good, but its smaller and lighter so is gonna work well for what I need it for :) (Grill mount and mounting to RC plane for aerial shots)
Also bought the featured 8gb SDHC :)

Will post video results on my Youtube channel (ysidfa)

Got the exact same one, rebranded from Maplin, use it on my helmet when cycling, but doesn't auto record, so you'll have to interact with it on every journey (n)

Although good for the bumper vids that you want.

This is the video quality :)

How are they powered? Is it battery or from the lighter? If so, do you have to re route the power leads and where?
Just spoke to the Mrs and she thinks its a good idea.
