Well if you can drive a car like this produce testosterone and not care what other people think you might just be a man. Now run along little boy. (I have to admit I dropped an octave for that speech).

I get a facial expression of sympathy when people look at my Panda too!!! Then an even worse look when I tell them how much I love the car!!!

Still, you should have replied to that guy:

"Well your mum didn't complain, but then again she doesn't normally speak with her mouthful" ;-)

Hahahaha

Re: What's made you smile today? (Part II)

Whilst searching for an old pic, found this. From winter, Jan 2013. Scaffolding on the house can be useful when building a snowman. Road outside was absolutely clear for two houses in each direction. Building blocks had been made using the recycling box as a mould. Still makes me smile whenever I pass the house.

Managed to half inch a 3rd monitor and the cable to run from a leaver at at work...

We shall see how long it is before I.T. turns up and says "oi do you have the paperwork for that?" But until then I finally have enough screen real estate..

The trick is to say incredibly confidently that there is in fact only two screens, one of which is very large, or that you emailed them the paperwork and "did they check their junk" or "refreshed the page yet?". Just say it confidently and stick to it.

Or just say "sorry i'll take it home".

What made me smile; I tidied up an old 1941 artillery fuze/ammo box that I found in the garage, complete with the stickers for who signed it out, painted serial codes/information. Such a neat discovery!

That's cool, love stuff like that, gets you wondering where it's been over that time.

Regards the monitor I have since discovered that both the bloke I replaced and one of my team mates have formally requested to get 3 and the boss said no...and it was a bone of contention.

Currently have a choice of put it back before they come back off leave or just hope they are not very observant and plead ignorance. To be fair at times I work across 3 different sites simultaneously with about 20 different programs so even if it's short lived it's an easier fortnight.
