they will exclude millions of people from unfair dismissal laws by giving protection only to those who have worked for the same employer for more than two years

whaaaaaattt?! How is that fair?!

Also, I did giggle at the second story, when FIFA said that wearing a poppy would jeopardize the neutrality of football. (y) hah.

i know i'm just too drunk to read it.
within 2 years i believe or give a reason such as your rubbish.
the story i read was in machinery-market
which basically said cameran wants to make unfair dismissal perfectly fine.
someone objected

nah, it is her type of polotics tho.

but yes its all thatchers fault, all the pround went out of england with her. no more brass band colinarys etc
she gave people on strike too much of a kicking so we can't have some mob justace to real criminals.
privatisation etc 1k per week per prisoner (how can it cost this much)

but saying its all labours fault is a bit harsh.
I belive it is cause thatcher tried to turn us into a service based econemy and now other countrys are doing there own services and in so no manufacturing jobs cause for some reason we are happy to give em all to some poor boy in china and ship it all over.
the answer is to put a big made in britain stamp on anything made in britain and raise import tax. making it a more competitive market.

things like the flooding in bangkock shows how vunrable we all are, to the outside.

my uncle said somthing interesting the last month that in china they have areas dedicated to producing certain types of items, for washing machines etc, this is good for transport and such but bad if that area gets damaged for our prices

wow i wish i had spell check

Surprised your not blaming Thatcher ;).

We've still got Labour to blame for this mess although Conservatives IMO are attacking the devicit far too aggressivly and as you say the poorest in the country are suffering more than anyone else.

Something that the tories have always been famous for(y) although as you said they do have to get us out of the mess left by Blair & Co, i'm not so sure that going back to the victorian workhouse mentality is the right way to go about it.

On the subject of blaming previous governments it's worth remembering that two of the thing that the Blair govt is often blamed for, crime & the EU, were both the fault of previous Tory governments. Edward Heath first took us into the common market (forerunner of the EU) in 1973 and John Major was PM when PACE (the legislation that gives criminals most of heir rights) was introduced in 1984
