We talked about it sometime back in the tuning thread, but I've only just had time to actually look into it.

What should be happening now, is that when you browse the LL, you will see all the normal LL threads AND all the "Off Topic" threads from around the model sections on the forum (which will have their original forum listed after the username).

If this doesn't cause too much of a slow down (it's now doing a BIG table scan) then we can look at how it could be used around the forums (for example pulling MM or EBay threads into the relevant model section).

But for now, I'll just be testing this to make sure it's working OK.

And of course, it will give OT topics more exposure now (y)

Found a simple way to link it into the model forums without needing such a big tablescan :)

It's now pulling Members Motors, Spotted, Auction Watch and Group Buys directly into the model forum listings too.

Again, will keep testing for speed deterioration, but I reckon it shouldn't affect anything too much (if at all).

Ok I've further extended (and optimised it) now - it can now drag whole forums into other forums as well (with filtering working as expected).

For example, I've set it so the "500 (USA)" posts also appear in the "500" section (but not the other way around) and the "Linea" posts also appear in "Grande Punto".

This way, the model still gets to have its own forum, but the people who might be able to help will also easily see the posts showing up (y)

Oh one thing I should add - if you do a "Search This Forum" - you will only ever get results from the *real* forum, so linked in stuff (either by prefix or virtual forum) won't ever show up.

This is still a concern with making this "Tuning" forum being talked about, as people wouldn't accurately be able to search...
