Where are you based mate? I've heard terrible things about both 3 and T/Orange. I went with Virgin in the end, who piggyback T/Orange but apparntly from what I've read get consistent high speeds from 3G?

My phone is no longer able to send texts or make calls, I can only receive them

Personally i think the LG cookie kp501 is a good phone but friends etc say it's very slow for a phone (the speed has never bothered me, when it goes slow, i press the red button to stop it doing everything then try again. No problems really - they all think this is poor.) So the speed of the phone doesn't bother me too much.

I just want to be able to get on the wireless network at uni and get onto the internet for free. + make calls and send texts.
GiffGaff network is where i'm going because it will mean i can call most mates for free when i top up £10 every 3 months

Just got the X12(S).. or the Xperia ARC-S.. its fantastic.. i did have a HTC Desire (Still do) and the ARC-S is soo much better, and i loved the Desire.
