The Tipo was an alright car. Quite underpowered for its weight (only 75hp) but made ok progress on the motorway. Very dated interior and quite quirky looking on the outside. I wouldn't own another.

The Uno was a shed. Rusty doors, rusty rear arches, rusty rear turrets and the boot floor was barely attached to the car. Totally unroadworthy but somehow had an MOT when I bought it. Still, it went like the clappers and was a good laugh. Took it up the strip at Santa Pod and ran a 16.4 with very ungrippy, barely legal tyres. Span up through 1st and 2nd so could probably have managed a high 15 on proper tyres. I would love to own another.

Here's my life in cars:
1. 1985 - 1968 Black Mini - it was my first car and was already ancient and rusty when I got it!
2. 1987 - brand new 2CV Dolly in plum and custard - cost me £3,000

3. 1988 - Got married, new husband refused to drive round in a 2CV, so my beloved was sold :cry:and we got a 1985 Renault 9 Biaritz, which unfortunately was written off after being in the middle of a 7 car shunt on the Severn Bridge - so
4. 1990 - a 1985 Vauxhall Cavalier saloon in a revolting khaki green
5. 1991 - also owned a 1981 Ford Transit at this time

6. 1994 - Got divorced so unsurprisingly bought another 2CV (1979) to celebrate :p. Painted purple flowers all over this one, but can't find a picture.

7. 1995 - The bottom fell out of the 2CV so bought another one, a 1985 Dolly in white and grey - slightly boring so painted it yellow and orange. This eventually wore out too so:
8. 1998 Brand new Toyota Starlet

9. 2002 Smart Convertible - I loved this car

10. 2007 - Needed a car with more seats, so broke my heart to part ex the Smart for a Peugeot 107. (n) Never loved this car
11. 2010 - Hooray - Fiat bring out a convertible 500 so:

This time I bought decals for the flowers instead of breaking out a tin of gloss. :D

I can say alot more for my dad though, only 1 pic though :\ :

Those are the important ones, after he sold his beloved Victor. He later inherited a blue mk1 Cavalier,

he then had various cars after that including Peugeot 309's, Morris Marina (axle broke off when he did a handbrake stop) . To be honest, his last car (owned car) before now was in the 90's- a 309. Up until a couple of years ago he changed jobs and had a Subaru Legacy '94 Twin Turbo.

It was a wreck but he said it was the best car he ever had. Then he went Subaru again and bought a Forester the other year. And now he will never get another Subaru because the Forester causes so much hastle.

I don't have many photos of my cars, and those I do have are either on prints or oil paintings, although to be fair some are also cave drawings, so a little difficult to post.

My difficulty is also that I've had quite a lot of company cars over the years as well as those I owned, but here goes.

Did most of my driving lessons in my Mum's 1969 Vauxhall Viva. A 1159cc deluxe. Deluxe because, in comparison with the basic model, it had a few fabulous and extravagent luxuries, such as a heater and (manual)screenwash.
This was replaced in 1974 by a new Viva deluxe with the powerful 1256 cc version of the engine in the previous model which I did a lot of my early driving. This was then replaced in 1978 by a new Chevette with the same engine as the last Viva. She could never get comfortable in that so it went and I bought the Chevette for, frankly, a steal. I don't think I actuall paid for it.

1979 - 1978 Vauxhall Chevette L 1983 - 1981 Vauxhall Chevette 2300HS Written off
Goes a bit vague here, but,
1985 - 1973 BMW 3.0S Auto
1978 FIAT 128 4 door

Then I moved into the realm of the company car. These included:

Vauxhall Chevette Estate.
Opel Ascona 2000
Opel Kadett 1.3S. The original Astra, but with a boot as opposed to a hatch
Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 (Mk1)
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.O Sportshatch
Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 (Mk2)
Ford Sierra 1.8L
Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 CD Hatch

Back to own cars for a while
1989 - 1989 FIAT Uno 60DS
1993 - 1993 Metro 1.3 (yuck)

Firm's cars again,

1996 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 (flat)
1997 Rover 220SD (turbo lag)

Own car
1998 FIAT Punto 1.2 (needed 2nd car)

Firm's cars
1998 Rover 114 SLi (fun)
2000 Ford Fiesta 1.2 Ghia (almost as much fun)
2002 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec (best allround car)

Own cars
2005 FIAT Panda MJ
2005 FIAT Stilo 1.4 3-door (written off - not me)
2001 Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 Veloce (replaced above)

The last two cars belonged to Mrs. Beard. Oddly enough, there seem to be a few missing, but can't remember what they might be. It's also a little tricky because there have been so many company cars.

Not in the "owned" category, unfortunately, but cars that I was around for various reasons and had access to included, Jensen Interceptor, Porsche 911 (Whale tail) Turbo, Lotus Elan, Lancia Stratos and Austin Healey 3000.

Putting my "Mr. Pedantic" hat on, the "FE" Victors in your pics are not FEs but FCs. The FE was made from (about) 1972 to 1980 (ish). The FD from 1968 to 1972. Up until the FD, Victor engines were the old ohv design as were all Vauxhall engines. Somewhere I do have a catalogue for the FC Victor but I'm damned if I can remember where it is.

My old man had a couple of "Victor" FDs, a 1971 VX 4/90 and a 1972 Ventora.

As for your comment about the Forrester, I was surprised to read that as I'd always thought Subarus were up there with the Lexus brand when it came to build quality.

Ok this took a while to do as was really difficult to remeber which order I had them in.. (losing my memory at 24)

Some crap pics and too much writing ;)

First car,

1986 Lancia Y10 Turbo..

Learnt to drive in it fuel lines broke and never really used it and sold it after 4years in my garage.. Only pics of when it was being loaded up on a trailor

And yes had a tear in this pic :(

Meanwhile had an AX 1.1TRE £200 shed no pics thankfully ;)

Then 96 Cinq Sporting.. soon turned to a 1242 and had this done to it to fit bits to the next car..

And then was returned to 1108 to fit everything to this

97 Cinq Sporting Abarth

Was fun but felt the need for speed so at the old age of 18 could afford to insure this.. well just about..

Mk2 Uno Turbo

Safe to say being young with 180bhp and Nitrous I soon needed a new engine.. which led to buying this for parts..

That lasted a few months before I destroyed the bottom end so this was the trusty steed for a while..

Renault Laguna 2.0ltr RTE

Was nice to have a nice comfy car awesome for trips to cinema etc ;)

But then thanks to this forum had to scratch the Fiat itch so started with this complete with knackered box and tasty stickers

97 Cinq Sporting Horman kitted

Which turned into this

And naturally it got a 1242 along with a few other bits..

Quite like that pic as you can see my mini Fiat fleet.. the neighbours loved me ;)

But that wasn't quite quick enough so went back to turbo power with this car..

Which was totally indestructable even ran over 2bar once by accident and no damage!

96 Cinq sporting Van Aaken converted

Now I sold this and promised the g/f I would get something nice and sensible that she could also drive..

1990 Peugeot 205 1.9gti

Hmm that didn't quite happen then

Still have the pugly and a nice engine to drop into it if I ever get round to it..

Now about this point moved house into the sticks so needed 2 cars

And this turned up at a good price so took a nice eventful journey to buy it in the dark with Aaron and Emma :D

97 Imola Cinq Sporting

Was a great little car complete with a few little mods and of course a 1242 had a lot of plans for it...

But a joke suggestion of PXing with someone way north of the border soon turned into a 920mile trip along with a good night out in Glasgow.. to collect this

2000 Seicento with Abarth kit/interior and Another VA conversion

Originally A Jersey car via Belgium which was a bit rare complete with air con and a sunroof as well as a Highboost turbo conversion pretty much from new..
I spent far too much on it tweeking little bits and pieces on it and was a very tidy car..

A certain someone on here made me a good offer so I finally moved onto this

2001 Renaultsport Clio 172

Awesome car in everyway, but am getting something new and jap next ;)

And still really fancy building a mint MK1 UT

I remembered a couple of others that I'd forgotten when I posted the other day and was just about to mention them when.....you posted these. Now, I can only hope that I removed all the pictures I didn't want and kept the ones I did and not the other way round.

I had a Y10 Turbo, an earlier model than the one you had as it had the black tailgate. I couldn't understand why they did that as it made the car look even shorter than it was, but I couldn't help thinking that the style was paving the way for the Cinq. Mine was metallic black with grey Alcantara trim. After that I had a Delta HF Turbo ie. The grey cinq has what appear to be wheels off the HF, although possibly from the first of the Integrales. Both cars had the same style wheels although I think the Integrale had the centres painted black or grey whereas the 1.6 HF had silver ones.

Ah yeah not seen an black tailgated ones in the flesh, pretty rare now though!

Yep they are indeed HF wheels and I believe that the Integrale versions were 15" not 14" like mine... Although I could be wrong.. That Cinq also had Uno turbo rear discs and Punto GT fronts so the wheels weren't just show :)

So far my car history is short and sweet but I am sure a lot of you will have a fantastic list of past and present cars, especialy ye old Beardy and Codger. I will go first;

2. Current 1996 Fiat Bravo HLX 1.8 16v
Since you were kind enough to mention me, here goes (no time for pics I'm afraid).
Ford Escort Mk1
Vauxhall Firenza
Vauxhall Magnum 2300
Vauxhall Chevette GLS
Ford Cortina Mk4
Ford Cortina Mk5
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 GLS
Austin Maestro (please don't ask !!!)
