Shame really as the prospect of 12 teams again disappears, but good for Jordan I guess as these people have a lot of money!

Meanwhile none of the new cars look too spectacular and Ferrari are starting with the modified 2004 car. Top tip I reckon this year is Sauber for challenging BAR and Renault: with New wind tunnel, Ferrari bits and Villenueve. I reckon Mclaren will be back at the top and BAR on the way down... but COME ON BUTTON!!!!

Australian Grand Prix is at Melbourne on March 6th.

Judging by no replies I can see nobody cares, but more news...

The new A1 Grand Prix is to be a winter series for Europe and the world and has rules based on US indycars, which in theory means more overtaking. Great news this week is that the first race, 18th September this year is confirmed to be at Brands Hatch (in Kent). I wouldn't miss it for anything. Also looks like ITV will be covering it.

Thanx for the info DP, I will get them dates down on me calendar.. I think i will make an effort to watch F1 this year, sounds like it could be an interesting year if your predictions are anything to go by.

Sadly I also predicted Ralf Schumacher for the title for 3 consecutive years... This year I'm going for Raikkonnen - after all Schumacher can't win forever. P.S the Sauber tip came off pitpass, but their car is looking very good indeed.

As for the A1 GP I can't wait, if only to see what it's like I'll book my ticket as soon as they become available. I always see the BTCC at Brands as it's so close to me, and also champ cars in 2003 which were amazing in terms of speed. Apparently the A1 cars are expected to be a full 3 seconds quicker!

Sadly no I always seem to miss the Autosport show plus it's a bit of a trek for me. They do look fantastic though, built and designed in Britain of course (by Lola, who also make the champ cars, and Zytec engines). Amazing as you say that that Sheik whatever just went out and bought himself 50 cars to set up his own series!

Yeah!
He's a really 'normal' kinda guy too - he just got out of the car, stood on the podium and explained it all to us!

Nice fellow, buying all those cars isnt he :p
