Talking "Vanishing Point, every time Miller drove it, his nose and ears bled"

You have to read this article on the worlds fastest accelerating car as the mind boggles at the speeds induced!

Re: "Vanishing Point, every time Miller drove it, his nose and ears bled"

Miller was brave, Stapp was insane. I saw a program on TV a while ago about SSC Thrust and they mentioned the tests that the military have done with sleds and they are so much faster than cars, they were going faster than SSC years ago. It makes me wonder why the land speed record is so titled, surely it should be the car speed record, unless they are saying that the sled being on a rail means it's not on land.

Maybe, but that would still render the title "LAND Speed Record" inaccurate. Either way, it's a somewhat trivial issue.

Not awesome enough to give you retinal detachment while watching it.

Good article, but my Marea can blow away the Focus and the Thrust from 0-100 I also had a nose bleed once in a car due to deceleration but that was caused by the tree more than the G

Good read, the Focus can beat the SSC to 100!

McLaren F1 has always been an impressive machine in my eyes, still to this day not much comes close even after all these years.

Did you read this Aaron?
