Hi

I have lost my keys. On that key set was a fob that opened the gate into our buildings car park. I have borrowed a fob off the office for now.

Can i clone this fob? Or do i need to pay the £60 the management company want for a replacement? The fob is Telcoma Tango Slim 2. They retail for around £28 + vat.

Any help?

Also, to gain entry into the building I have another fob. I assume it's an RF ID tag as there are no buttons on it, just hold it near the receiver and it unlocks. They want £50 for a new one  The entry system is by Fermax, can i clone the one i have?

They like this (dallas key)?

You can, in theory, clone RFID cards but the cost of the equipment (card reader mainly) would exceed the cost of just stumping up for an official replacement. The security bods should have disabled access from your lost card already.

The gate uses a rolling code and cannot be cloned. It needs to be coded to the receiver.

The door fobs are not unique. They only open communal doors. I do have a spare, and wasnt looking to clone it myself due to equipment cost.

Will it not have relevant information on it unique to you so they know when you go in and out.
TBH if it is possible its not exactly going to save you any real money is it. It is a specialised skill which has pretty flat cost rates.

It's not as organised as that I don't think.

Panic over, keys were found beneath the toaster... I had given up on them, and found them after a craving for a toasted tea cake :D
