Wow, what another great FF mini-meet
Having got to Wicksteed Park around 1ish, it seemed that mine and purplemondays cars [both 5 doors] were sidelined to one part of the park, with TCs, froggies and Bobs [all 3 doors] to the other!
With an hour or so on some rides [ok, me and kids on the Merry-go-round], we took a convoy down to Frankie & Bennies
Food was excellent, but the fun came after - the 5 boys left the girlies chatting, and then played with the cars, oh yes. The A14 was a spitting distance away, so a few blats up and down in each car.
There was my re-mapped 5 door Abarth, driven by TC, froggie and purplemonday. Seemed to have slightly more oomph, froggie reckoned steering more taut, TC said more roll [this became apparent later...]
Froggie had a 3 door Abarth, and was driven by TC - he can make any comments.
And TCs 1.6 was also tested, not for speed, but for pure handling - I took the wheel, with froggie as my passenger, and my, did I test it round some local roundabouts - lowered by 30mm with some 17s on, this car answered everything I gave it - both the Abarths would have just lost it as this 1.6 tucked into every corner. This is without doubt the most fun I have had round bends for some time. No idea what speed I was taking them at, maybe froggie took a mental note, lol.
I think without doubt springs and wider tyres will be my next project on my Abarth, once CDA fitted - sod the sideskirts.
We decided not to test the other 1.6 or 1.2, sorry guys you know who you are
Overall, a cracking day out and another first for the forum with Club Stilo - PICS are bound to follow.
