Re: Polish it up!!

A gentle T cut to remove old wax, if the paint is still dull then use a white colour cut.
Then a good diamond finish wax or something like triplewax if your arm is dropping off at this point.

Re: Polish it up!!

I have started using a wax called Meguiars. It brings out a lovely shine and the water just beads and runs off.

Re: Polish it up!!

I use Autoglym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection if im showing the car anywhere cos it makes the car shine like mad and i use black colour magic after ive washed it normally as it gets rid of the little scratches

Re: Polish it up!!

Autoglym full stop

Jag, Aston etc wouldn't use it for no reason.

Re: Polish it up!!

I use autoglym too as a polsih - it's worth it for the shininess. The only downside being if you don't get in there with the elbow grease it does look very dull and messy and well sometimes I can't be bothered with the elbow grease .

Talking Re: Polish it up!!

Would only use Autoglym and or Mer....although that new Turtlewax Clearvue wax and wash looks interesting - meant to leave no smears at all - although we've heard that claim a hundred times before!

That sounds good Jasper, if it does what it says on the tin it will be worth it.

Merguiars all the way for me. Most if not all their products work very well.

Zymol are also very good too.

Re: Polish it up!!

Well, if I do try it, I'll let you know how it goes (or smears!) as the case may be!
