Not having a pop @ anyone here, but I do seem to have noticed something a little worrying by my reckoning.

This may just be me, but, other than my "hello" post, no-one seems to answer any/most of my technical posts asking for help, nor do any questions in the guides get viewed, it would seem.

I do understand that people should view the Guides section before posting tech. questions, as they may have been answered there, but other than that, nothing, no interest, no asisstance, nothing. My query goes beyond a "Guide".

It may be that people simply do not know, in which case that is fine, but, having been advised to pm a member on here as they are apparently very good with their technical knowledge, and received no reply in a couple of months, and no reply or offer of further assistance by anyone else, it would seem to be a bit of a "poor show" in my opinion.

Is it something I, personally have done, or is it something else? I am aware that I am still technically a "newbie", only having around 18-20 posts, but it is not looking good if this is the way for other newbies.

Answers on a postcard or on this thread would be gratefully read.

which section do you post in? Some sections have less frequent views than others, but questions do get answered eventually(y)

You might have PM'd the wrong person in your rev counter thread. In fact, I'm pretty sure you have (I'm talking about Fluffy).

Your rev counter question is rather specific and not many will be able to help.

@ Chaos: yes, I may have, anything is possible. Can anyone let me know the correct username?

@ fingers99: I understand that. That is why I asked there AND in the main section just in case (I think I linked to the guide, but may not have).

@ Emm: mainly in the Cinq Technical section TBH.

@ Mikeee: most of those replies (other than the newbie bit) are me "bumping" it back to the top. There were a couple of replies to one question, but when they did not work out, nothing further. My main problem in the thread was that I seem to have an "odd" set of clocks and needed clarification that they would fit and work correctly. No-one was answering the question IMO.

@ Jug: yep.

@ Custard: Yes, I understand that it is a big forum, and things and and do get missed. Any decent-sized forum will be the same. I used to run a big(ish) Ford forum, so I can appreciate that situation.

@ Ben: spot on. It seems a shame that I have had to post this thread (in fact, I did have thoughts afterwards that it was either in the wrong section, should maybe have been pm'd, but by then I had started work and couldn't sneak access back onto the forums again), but, as I am sure people can understand, newbies hope for assistance and look towards members with knowledge. It looks as if I may not be the only person in that case, although I may have unwittingly been more vocal about it.

@ all: maybe I am/have shot myself in the foot with this thread in the form of not receiving assistance in the future, if so, I will have to accept the situation and any consequences arising from it.

Should a mod wish to lock this thread, or leave it for others to see/comment on, I will leave it @ their discretion.
