Some of you may know, i do like to go on my cheap banger rallies, a bit of a pastime for me

ive been round europe twice before in my cars bought for less than £100 (2 threads in LL somewhere)

I didnt do it this year though due to other circumstances and lost a bit of passion for it. However a couple of days ago received an email from the organisers of the whole event, of future plans for next year and beyond.

There are plans for a UK event hopefully for 2009 and theyve also changed the parameters also. Previously it was no more than £100 and nothing newer than an M reg. Now its £150 and N reg.

News of a UK event has slightly rekindled my interest once again

I am thinking of entering this year into the UK event with a fiat, if i can get one, £150 does bring in a few more models than £100 did, and perhaps use the forum in some way ive not thought about that side of things yet aside from attending as many events as i can next year with it

Obviously i would do this event for a charity like i have done my previous times

Just after some opinions from the mods and members if you think its a good idea. Just to add the details given so far are very brief and have requested more info

me and my dad were gonna take up a bit of grass trackng but dont have time with him building on the house all the time

where abouts are the venue's/events and how often etc?

http://www.streetsafari.com/index.esp is the people i have been with before. There is only 25 places on the UK one, and veterans ( people who have done rallies before) get first dibs before they go on general availability. This is the same on all of the rallies.

There are plenty of others though to do though as i think the UK one will go pretty quick.

see above, they occur once a year

CONFIRMED - hopefully the UK event will occur in 2009

there are quite a few cars i can work with on something like this (as in know quite well)

get yourself involved then, details of everything released next week.

its a good laugh if you get involved
