Folks if a car should have a hi-level brake light but it has been removed for damage & failure, would that constitute an MoT fail?

All other brake lights are fully functional.

Cheers...

The wording is "any brake light fitted as standard must work" - if the lamp is not physically on the car then it can't be failed, but it might fail under the lamp being missing section, but only if the tester knows that it is actually fitted as standard .

Cool thanks Volxstu and Arc, as I suspected

Daughters much neglected 1.0 Micrashed...:p MoT on Monday...

Ta Most Easterly Panda and to Sledge, I'm just gonna do the ususal checks and put it through this time. or get a light from a scrappies Saturday of course! Bloody kids and parcel shelf speaker mounting....:mad:

:eek::rolleyes: *walks away wisling* :p

But I can never understand cars where the 3rd stop lamp is say at the bottom of the rear screen. I thought the idea is to have them up as high as possible, say for view of lorry drivers?

Yup... that makes sense,... and it was the knob kid that did the speaker fitting rather than kids fitting speakers in general soz...
