A good example of someone who thinks he is untouchable and that normal rules dont apply to him.

Re: McCormick, drunk & no insurance

any bets that he pleads not guilty at the initial hearing tomorrow...thereby putting the surviving family through the hellish process of a trial at some later date.....in the meantime, i would guess a legal team will be preparing a strong defence, and certainly looking for mitigation..."pressure, celeb, etc" will no doubt come into it, the veracity of the fathers version of events called into question....the minutest detail of the investigating officers actions disected...all with the aim of exonerating Mr McCormick....and while the shouts of anger and disbelief will be loud, they will be short.....for like so many a person caught in out in the harsh light of celeb and public scutiny...the cries will die away, and rehab into the norm of society will be seamless....all sins forgotton, no harm....no foul. the precedents are there, many and shocking, i always hope for justice, but what i'd caution is this...a courtroom is the last place this unfortunate family will find it......

I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

Re: McCormick, drunk & no insurance

I'm a Plymouth fan and can't believe it. The guy was a good guy and even made a road safety vid early on in the year. Was stunned.

However much I like the guy for what he did on the field I hope he gets treated no differently to any normal person and gets punished fairly for what he has done.

It is shocking.

Re: McCormick, drunk & no insurance

Football career is done, no one will take a chance on a drunk and a killer

Lee Hughes at least had the sense to not be drunk and be insured when he did something sadly so similar

To name but a few....

Patrick Kluivert (killed a man in car accident)
Lee Hughes (caused death by dangerous driving)
Tony Adams (crashed car while drunk)
George Best (say no more!)

Sadly I doubt it will end his career....
