why do you all think you have a chance racing me on my bike lol?

been out with my mate on his NSR that passed its MOT today.

out accelerated 4 cars at the lights, 2 corsas, clio and a punto sporting.

it's not just by a little bit either, 0-60 of around 7 secs.

just gets me how they all think because of the L plates it will be Sh*t slow.

good laugh though lol.

bikes **** me off. when i used to go for a drive up on the mendips i'd always get some prick overtake me before a corner then slow me down through the corner (which is the best part) before heading off along the straight bit.

going in a straight line is boring!! its all about the corners!!

prick on a gixxer or summat else big&fast pulled a wheelie all the way through wigton earlier, what a dickhead :bang:

much as i like bikes, and i would love to run one on the road, i just cant justify the effort-to-benefit analysis.

That biker obviously hasn't learnt to get his knee down. Corners are much more fun then ;)

Looked at as a cost-per-£ ratio, a bike will always beat a car hands down; but, when it comes to going round bends, a car will probably have 8-20 times more rubber on the road than the 2-wheeler, and in fact a well ridden sports bike will almost certainly be beaten along a twisty road by an idiot in a Ferrari.
If you then factor ABS, ASR, traction control and yaw control into the equation, then you've got to be damned good on your bike.
However, after 34 years of cars and bikes I have to say that given the choice
for a leisure trip (in half decent weather) the bike's going to win it hands down.
In terms of acceleration, in 1974, a Norton Commando or a BMW R100S with only 60 BHP each, could hit 60mph in 4.9 seconds!! My Yamaha FJ1200 with 125 BHP (500 per ton) is quicker than that, and it's 16 years old. How many cars have that kind of acceleration off the line, even today? When overtaking,
40-100 mph in 4th in the distance it takes to overtake an articulated truck!

7 seconds :ROFLMAO: thats and age! Try 2.8 seconds, more importantly 100mph in another 2.2 seconds(y)

But whats more worrying is you riding pillion with your mate on 'L' plates!

Tut, Tut, Tut!
