i hate those little tikes adverts, you know the one.

with the annoying american kids voice.

the one where he has the drill. it seems to just be on all the time, when all i want to do is watch spongebob :p

It gets louder when i turn the volumn up for the new Sony Bravia advert, lol i luv those little plasticine rabits, and the rolling stones, she's a sunshine is a fine tune.

Particularly noisy are the 'Land Of Leather' adverts with the shouting of Karl 'Brushstrokes' Howman. Karl, I know your career has taken a downturn since they axed you from those 'Flash' adverts, but I don't want leather seats in my house, I have them in my car already...

The theory is that during a commercial break people go out to the kitchen to make a cup of tea or out of the room, so they turn up the volume so you can still hear the adverts. Of course, the TV authorities deny that this happens

Most adverts these days cause my brain to automatically take no notice anyway. The more they try and get my attention, the more I ignore them ;)

is it true they used to measure how many people were watching a program by the electricity surge of people putting the kettle on? how inaccruate lol

On my *cough* marketing course at uni we were taught that the adverts are delibarately louder to 'wake people up' after they go into a bit of a trance watching their programme!

But who wants to be woken up by "HI. I'M BARRY SCOTT"?

I'll take the Deal or NO Deal induced trance any day, ta muchly
