the soviet auto manufactuer VAZ or known to us as lada have always been friendly with Fiat and their designs, but in recent years what *other* country have they been overly friendly with.

and theres several answers for this one ;)

your mean't to guess what country it is that makes the copy of the tatt.

and yes it is crp compared to the old one.

its a lada niva 2 came out in 1999/2000. replaced the old 1978 one that was very very good, even clarkson said it was good.

OK, thre you go...

You don't even have to think twice to tell what this one immitates:

Its a Austin/MG (British Leyland) Maestro Turbo,

Useless fact: it had a digital speedometer and vacuum fluorescent analogue displays for tachometer, fuel and temperature gauges, trips computer and a voice synthesis warning and information system (see above).

What is it now! (other than an awesome car)?

Yes,

ALSO!!!!

Apple 2000 Made them on R and S plates.

Ledbury made them up to 2001 (51 plate) and sold the ones that weren't registered to holiday companies abroad!

There were no W reg ones, for some unknown reason. Beards at the Rover unofficial resource are thinking now!

Matt

And then

that website reminds me of when i went to china, i kept seeing cars that i thought i recognised, but when i got up close they were just strange copies from chinese manufacturers.

i saw what looked like a mk1 corsa estate, i have a pic of it at home. it had the exact same dash and identicle front end. it was made by some company with a red emblem, and when i later did research i found that there are more car manufacturers in china than the rest of the world combined so i doubt i'll ever find out what it was.

its a GAZ gazelle, you'll see thousands of them. and they usually ship food/essentials out onto the bad roads of the middle /ne east asia where artics can't go (even massive Kamaz's can't), they buzz around in gangs driven by teenagers with as much plastic bling on them as they can obtain from the local markets :p

but whats it a bad copy of:cool:

yup tis a asian/russian (made in several places) copy of a old trannie. but with more rustic suspension, and a 2.25 litre pushrod volga engine (From the car GAZ volga, which ironically when written in ceirilic looks like 'BONKA' its also the worlds MOST facelifted vehicle ever...

Волга

looks like bonka when on the badge.

they also made (Gaz) an aircooled v8 truckengined limosine for hi end deligates.

and some clever clogs add'd a bmw v12 to this creation of sexyness
