Saturday morning and it's sooooooooo slow again, it was last night too! I'd take it up with the host if I were you, if they want paying, they first have to provide the service, it's been terrible over the last week or so. All I ever get is "timed out" messages and "error 507" messages.

I'm sorry Ben but navigating this site is horrendous at the moment, you'd have to put three hours aside for stuff you can normally do in twenty minutes, it's crazy!

Navigating the site seems ok to me right now from over here on this side of the world.

I do apologise for the slowness the last few days, as Ben has said we had a router failure, this was actually triggered by a rather long and sustained (its been nearly 3 days now) DDoS on one of our other servers. That server was isolated from the cluster and put on a separate router and becuase of this it should be having minimal impact on the remaining servers.

We've put two brand new cisco 7100's in to balance the load and have been banning IP ranges like crazy to try and stop the DDoS.

I certainly hope the worst is behind us and do again apologise to all about the issues, unfortunately theres is only so much we can do to slowdown this DDoS attack.

thanks for that kiwihost person, its nice to be kept informed, if only fiat customer service was that good!

The DDoS on one of our machines is still ongoing (persistent buggers thats for sure). Dropping in some PIX/IDS firewalls in front of the router later this week which should stop them dead in their tracks we hope

Your welcome. To us its all about service, everyone knows computers aren't fool proof, things happen, bits break etc, but I'm sure most people like myself can tolerate it as long as someone tells them things straight up which is what we always try to do.
