Then the UK would have to be broken down into it's constituent countries and I would have to choose an English or Scottish one which might be a bit of a problem for me

NI is unique in this respect. You selecting an English or Scottish flag has no bearing on how other people view you. Someone on here from NI will select a UK or Irish flag based on their religion. An NI flag would solve that problem. Sad I know, but true...

Saying that Steve, you maybe don't realise people get beaten up here (Carlisle not England as a whole) all the time for being Scottish and also in the borders for being English. OK maybe not to the same levels as terrorism of any kind and I don't want to get political but also sad and true nonetheless.

As for the flags I didn't even notice they were gone we used to have flags didn't we? And I'm with dave I think everyone should put their actual country (and be proud of it!!)
