Tags?

You may have noticed a new field when you make a post now titled "Tags".

So what are they? You might ask.

I've installed a new system from Zoints which is basically a massive network bookmarking tool (and also relevant locally in the forum too) - as a thread is created a tagged, the tag results are sent to the main Zoints server (http://zoints.com/tags/) - where they will be catalogued.

So if a user browses Zoints and a particular tag, the FF results will come up.

This is also good for search engine links, as different threads are now linked in from other network sites.

Finally, it can help you guys find relevant threads by selecting the tag (http://www.fiatforum.com/tags/)

Putting in tags are optional, but if you can put in a few relevant ones for a post - it can be beneficial to all of us

Of course, if it doesn't work out - no worries - but hopefully this can be a good thing for the forum

Re: Tags?

Basically...if you start a thread and tag it as 'ecu'...then someone searches zoints website for 'ecu' it brings back a link to your thread.
It's another way of getting the site out and about and noticed by more people.

Er?! Some more details please curly, like car model [a FIAT I presume], and then I will move it to the correct area.
