Hello just though i would let you know!

My tax ran out yesterday 31st October, went to the Post Office with all documents including insurance policy. Gave all the forms to the woman behind the desk. She looked at forms for a bit, then she looked confused. Then she said that the insurance policy wasnt for the car i wanted to tax. The registration on the insurance wasnt right. My reg is KN** E** but the reg on the insurance document is KM** E**. So i have been driving round for the last 6 months not being insured on my car. I never noticed this 6 months ago. Now i cant get my tax untill my new cover note comes from the insurance company.

lesson learned,personally always check all my insurance dosc when they come through

Yep first thing i do is check the Schedule to make sure all the details are correct

She must have had her eyes open! That happened to me once and I chanced it but luckily the woman in the post office didn't notice, got it changed sharpish though

Has happend to me with too... I gave the post office an old policy by mistake, and they spotted it... and started to give me sgifty looks... luckily I brought my entire service history and old MOTs and insurance documents with me so after a few munites franticly searching I found the new one I could just feel everybody in the room shaking their heads and rolling their eyes.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but you should always check your documents with a fine toothed comb. HIC did a renewal on my cinq - just a renewal, nothing special, but forgot about all the mods from the previous year which were printed on the certificate - 1242, turbo, wheels, kit etc. They had it down as a standard 1108, said they had 'no record' of any mods.
