Hmmm, tricky this one.

I'm 18 and on a 2001 Fiat Seicento Sporting, I had to put up with £1.8k, living on the outskirts of London.

If you can, do pass plus. I can't remember where I read it but apprently, over two years, the difference can be as much as 30% (Don't quote me on that, though I think it's not too far off the truth!)

Best bet, is to go on somewhere like autotrader (Who search multiple companies) Pick the two cheapest companies, and set them against each other to try to lower it further. (Some may not quote though!)

Remember though, quote online, then ring the company. You can blag a further discount on top of that 15% online one most companies offer!

That saves you a lot of leg work but then get on the net and do some more quotes. morethan, the aa, tesco. Just keep looking around. Could take you a morning but could save yourself 100's.

I did a ton of looking and these were the cheapest for me, beating Admiral, Budget and Flux.

tesco and nationwide have been the cheapest for me so far !

Tesco were always best for me both with my first car, and then insuring me after writing my first car off, but now they're not so competitive for me

when i was 18 i had my 1.8 stilo which i insured with elephant and found them half the price of most other insurers!
