I'm over 25, held my license for 7 months and live just outside the London congestion charge. All of my insurance quotes range from between £1600 - £4600!

I am the sole driver, owner, registered keeper, I live alone, cannot peg anybody onto the policy.

Why are these premiums so high?

OP, what vehicle ?,
use a comparison site,
go through all the options of lower annual mileage,
parking area's = day + night,
etc,
