Due to a change in my daughters personal circumstances, she was left without a car, so we bought her a little Tigra (nice little car), and she was facing an insurance premium of around £1400 for the year, which was about the cheapest she could get.

She has been a named driver on car insurance in the past, but she wasn't building up her no claims bonus!

As a last resort i contacted Admiral for a quote, and they mentioned their multi-car policy - wow we saved hundreds on the premium price, as we got it down to about £830 with her as the main driver and myself as an occasional driver.

My car goes on the policy in July, until March 2012, but the premium price for my policy is pro-rata, so i only pay till March and not July!

Really amazed by how much we saved on her policy, which was the main thing really (y)

If you have more than one car in the household, give them a try (y)

Admiral aren't very good for mods though, I believe they only cover the risk of the mod and not the modification itself.

Still, good to know that it suited you both in this case :)

my multipla insurance is up for renewal, i usualy use swift cover, but they have gone up 40% this year!. used all comparison sites & flux have come out cheapest. i tried admilar multicar (i have a pug 205 also), multi with flux is £298 inc no claims bonus protection-fully comp, 205 is £165 fully comp inc no claims bonus protection = £463 for both. admiral.....
multicar .........£864!!!!!! nearly double!.
pays to spend hour or so going through them all on the net to get best price.
