i know they re grouped all insurance between 1 and 50 now or something, but i got my renewal through the post yesterday for my 1.4 16v grande sporting, and it was about £100 more than last year??? im now 21 with 2yrs NCB, and a month ago, when i was getting quotes i was getting around the £600 mark. but now theyre around the £1000 mark with the same companies? about 5 of my friends have had the same issue (we dont all live right near each other). anybody else had this??

Yeah, they've shot up recently.
I'm 17, driving test next month so been doing quotes for my 1.2 punto, Managed to get a quote for 1036 (which is tbh an amazing quote), with bell, with mum and dad named on my policy.

That quote is valid until 2 days after my test, so i can only have it if i pass.

Re quote with the same company, same details? 3600. what the hell, and the cheapest i can get now is 1900, was getting 1500 with the company offering 1900 2-3 months back, its stupid.

Its probably due to all the claims being made due to the icy weather.

A guy in work wanted to by the Yellow Peril for his 18 year old son, but changed his mind when the quotes were coming in at around £2000. Thats on a 1988 45S.

There really has been a significant rise in personal injury claims! How often do you see a lawyer firm advertising now? People are pursuing these claims alot more than they used to. That means insurers are paying out more, and that cost gets passed on to the consumer!
