Like every insurer, they're not for everyone. They saved me money and I've been with them for years now. The quoted rate is "up to 15% saving", they don't guarantee that you'll save money with them, because that would be misrepresentation.

Sorry that we could not find a price that was suitable for you Different insurers are better for different people and risks. If we were competitive every time we'd be the only ones in the industry.

I tried to get a quote with AF and you guys said "we have nothing to offer you" is there no way you can tell me why this is, im currently insured with more thab smart wheels and I dont want a blak box there so restrictive
 
Well called today and got qouted £328 with £225 excess on a Fiat Idea 1.4 with mods (SS exhaust, Air Filter, Fiat Alloys up from 15" to Fiat 17", and chipped for an extra 10bhp).

I'm 47 with full no claims...

I even stated what Chris Knott had qouted and said I wanted a lower excess (£150 from CK) and you came back with a higher one and said you couldn't do lower. It's a mini MPV not a sports car...

I’m 47 with a clean full uk license
No claims, no point, no conviction
Living in London
I had 2 quotes from different insures between £180/220
They told me they could not offer me any quote.....
Then I received a quote by email of £1400!
Car valued at £500...
What a joke! I even asked why they could not offer any insurance for a normal “oldish” classic
No proper answer...
What’s the point in your advertising if you cannot provide any competitive insurance?
It’s a Fiat cinquecento! Not exotic grey import luxury rare car!
 
They seem to make prices up as they go along these companies aged 52 slightly modified panda 17 years no claims no points quotes from £160 to £4000 ? Mystified as to how they calculate these figures and why having my rear windows professionally (glass out) tinted would make it so much hassle. They is no difference looking out of the car only looking in
 
Like everything else in life things change over time,when I first bought my doblo cargo NFU was the only company who could offer me insurance for less than £700,and as the years passed it fell to around £600 and I stayed with NFU for about 10 years until a friend of mine suggest I tried a price comparison site on the internet and now I only pay slightly over £200, you don't get any thanks for staying a loyal customer any more so do what Martin Lewis suggest,ditch and switch.Every time you get your renewal just log on the net and do a price comparison,what was cheap last year can be cheaper or more this year .

Good advice, but remember that comparison sites only tell 1/2 the story as there are still lots of brokers who don't use them, and you can only get a quote over the phone. They do give a good basis for comparison though, so use them, then ring Flux, Knott, Sky, etc and see if they can beat them further!

I however need to air my disappointment with your company
Surely all brokers/insurers use the same parameters to calculate a premium based on the customer informations
What I do not understand is your huge premium difference (quoted around £200 Adrian flux £1400)
Surely there is something fishy going on with the insurance companies
I also think your ad here should be removed as other members have suggested if you cannot honour it

I'm sorry that we couldn't offer anything more competitive and off course you are entitled to be disappointed and I fully appreciate that however these kinds of scenarios are not uncommon I'm afraid.

I always use go compare and the likes to get a quote range, then i ring up a few quoting my best quote as £50 or more under my best price and someone usually gets near the lower price.
 
Hi, can an 18 year old new full licence driver as a Fiat Forum member get any additional discount to the normal quoted price on their classic 2003 Fiat Punto 1.3 multijet ?
