HAHA Marks & Spencer Insurance

Just got my renewal notice for my mk2 1.2 punto through from M&S for £1300 (a price increase of £200 on last year).
Went to M&S website and got a quote as if i was a new customer and it came back as £850!! And thats including breakdown cover + key cover + legal protection which i didnt have any of before!

Rang up M&S and said i'd got a quote for £850 (didnt tell her it was actually M&S) and she said there would be no way they could get anywhere near that price! haha

So i've cancelled my renewal and gone with this new quote online.

lol f***ing idiots. Surprisingly that happens with most companies. Which leads me to believe they just make up a price at the time .

Did the same thing with Esure, they sent me a renewal quote of £270 fully comp. I went to moneysupermarket.com and got a quote for £235 fully comp from Esure! I'm still with the same insurer but saved myself about £35.

Re: HAHA Marks & Spencer Insurance

Every year I get a daft renewal - upto £100 more than previous year.

So I phone them up and ask what they can do, so far they've came back with something under the price I paid the year before. I've then looked around, got an even better quote and gone back again to mine and asked them to beat that. That worked for the last 3 years.

Re: HAHA Marks & Spencer Insurance

Of course I forgot to mention they couldn't make it as cheap as the best quote I found, and that I took to Chris Knott who chopped another 10% off.
