3rd Party non fault query..

Just wanted to check something.

In the event of a non-fault accident on 3rd party insurance, who do you need to contact? Their insurance, or should your insurance deal with it?

Let your insurance deal with it thats what you pay your premium for dont even talk to the 3rd party they have a habit of trying to blame you/ accusing you of threatening them etc especially if they are elderly....

What happened HC? hope the Bravo's ok

My bravo is fine...

brother in law had a car pull out on him, he hit the 3rd party in the side. Pretty straight forward but the 3rd party hasn't accepted responsibility.

Re: 3rd Party non fault query..

No point in arguing the to55 at the road side hopefully he got photos if not get back to the scene and get plenty from all angles hopefully showing the 3rd party had a good view of the road label the photo's draw diagrams showing road markings (link to photos') damage to his car and send it all off to the insurance company these things can drag on months despite regular phone calls my sister had a RTC at a roundabout where the 3rd party didnt give way and they are still playing bat and ball trying to blame each other

Hi
Yes, just contact your existing insurer & tell them that you wish to claim against another party.
Shouldn't have any problems.

Re: 3rd Party non fault query..

My bro contacted his insurance company and give them the details, there contacted the other guys insurance and have said that the other guy is as fault as he pulled out from a side street on to the main road where he meet with my bro. The guy who pulled out still doesn't admit fault but all the evidence said he was, including the statement from he police who attended the sence.
My bro is happy and he is currently awaiting on his cover car paid for by other guys insurance company
