Re: insurance prices

Sounds too dear but there are other factors to consider, where do they live? Are they in a good postal area? Is the car parked on the street etc etc

Re: insurance prices

If he can find cheaper or can't afford it - then it's too steep!

eh? Has he tried endsleigh insurance? I got a quote of 1300 a year for my 1.2 16v mk2 punto (02). (at 18 with no NCB!)

I think that really is bloody high though!

Tell him to get a diesel car! It would have cost me 850 a year to insure a 1.9 turbo diesel stilo! MUCH cheaper insurance matey

Re: insurance prices

Well my mate Jas is insuring a 1.4 Peugeot 206 for £1600 at the moment, with 0 years no claims. So i'd say it was steep, especially as Fiat's tend to be slighly cheaper to insure.

I'm 19, male, have 1 years no claims and have just insured my new car (Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD 115 Dynamic) for £800 a year with Quinn Direct - this being my second year of insurance.

My first year was £1300 for a 1.2 1999 Fiat Punto!!! - expensive.

Quinn i found to be the best as you can drive other cars on third party as long as their insured by someone else (your mates, parents etc.). Also it doesnt matter if your only covered third party you can still drive them on third party.

www.Quinn-direct.com

My first year insurance was with Liverpool Victoria (the best i could find for 1st year).

I live in the Midlands, and car is parked on a drive if that makes any difference.

Hope it helps.

Matt

Re: insurance prices

my cousins share a car (ones at uni, the others learning), its a 04 plate 1 litre corsa i think (my aunty and uncle bought it for them)

they got a quote for it parked on the drive and in the garage (they live a few miles out of wakefield in a very very nice area

as there cars dont fit in the garage (grand scenic and espace ), the quote they had for garage for the corsa was only 40 pounds cheaper then on driveway, not exaclty much really
