Lol @ JCT 600 sticker on the Ferrari, i know the dealership where that probably came from if it's the only one in the UK! (A JCT 600 that sells porsches, ferraris, maseratis and lotus' that is)

I said "um" so I wasn't speechless. Slightly shocked yes, but speechless no. :D
If that's a speech then I bet you don't get asked to be a best man very often ;) :p
Liam, 1st pic I like a lot (y), 3rd pic OK, 2nd pic has reflection and horizon isn't level :(
Just goes to show that sometimes something that looks great with the eye doesn't come out well on camera, and you can sometimes get a great pic just by looking up! :)

Not at all my best photos either technically or content-wise, but it was an enjoyable day so I thought I would put them up. Shame I didn't have time to set up properly to do the night shot :(

This is the World famous( well maybe not that famous.,lol) GPO in O'Connell street, Dublin.,.,
GPO_dublin.jpg

And this is the Spire of Dublin also in O'Connell street facing the GPO.,
I think this is the tallest solid structure in the world, or so they say(pointless really)

These aren't particularly great pictures because they were taken a few years back with a 1.3mp mini cam. But the scenery was worth a shot regardless of the outcome.
They were taken on the banks of the Ohio river in the town of Follansbee in West Virginia near Steubenville Ohio just outside Pittsburgh, I really wish I had a better camera on me as the sights are out of this world.

The pic below is of our 3 month old baby girl. I took this shot on my Sony Erricson K800i. A split second before I took the shot she was grinning like mad, but the red eye reducer on the phone startled her. This was the result.

After the shot, she was smiling again, but at that moment, she looks so sad. I will get a pic of smiling one day.

love that top one! what camera did you use?

i've been looking for a way of doing a slow shutting with my point and shoot but i cant find one...
its a Panisonic Lumix DMC-Lx2., I got it a few months ago, its a great camera. it has a fully manual mode, 10.2mp, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 aspect ratios.
Loadz of stuff.,, if you go for a camera with anything over 6mp id reccomend getting a 1-2gb card as the files do be pretty large, especially at 10.2mp.,,
nice one gazza

If you look back in this thread you'll see a nightshot I took of Tower Bridge. To get the long exposure I switched the flash off, which forced the camera into long exposure mode. You'll need a tripod to keep the camera still, or do what I did and rest the camera on a wall!

A lot of modern day cameras take the credit for a decent picture more so than 'photographer'!

By the way, the following pictures were taken in southern Spain (between Fengirola and Marbella) and are 100% genuine! It's some kind of weird cloud formation that looks like a UFO!

I took two shots, one with flash and one without as it was just coming up to dusk. Those clouds looked like that for a good 15 minutes until the wind blew them out over the sea.
