Yeah I just had a look there too. My dad's been offered one for quite a bit cheaper and I really want an SLR as I'm maybe too familiar with my Kodak DX6430 after two and a half years of almost constant use. 
The D70 is a very good camera, if you can get one for less than £250 then snap it up.
I'll suggest it as a Christmas present. Oddly, I took some shots with a D70 today on the location of my flatmate's film shoot (the main car in it is my Panda! Woo!) and was impressed but after we'd packed up and gone to mine for a cuppa that was all I thought of it.
Then my dad said this evening about the D70, I did a bit of research on DPReview and other places and realised that it was exactly the same camera I'd been playing with just a few hours ago.
Ideally I'd like some lenses with it to save faffing but seeing as the body is £200 then, when I eventually get the fund, some nice lenses can be purchased.
I would sell the old Kodak as it's still in absolutely perfect nick 7000 photos later but digicams have just exploded in the last 2 years and it's not worth much any more.
Anyway! Thanks for the feedback dudes, here's hoping Santa is looking upon me favourably...

My suggestion here, is if you get the D70 body, try to find one of the kit lenses on ebay, people will literally be giving them away. either that, or any Sigma EX series lens, they can be picked up reasonably cheap and are of a high standard.
I think for a decent lens, new prices will start from around £80 and used stuff (from Jessops or similar) can start from £40
You can pick up 18-55mm Nikon kit lenses for under 50 quid, and they aren't bad at all. Sigma DX lenses can be had new, 55-200mm zoom for under £100.

I dont get bored of cameras Ive still got my first from a few years ago that I bought just cause it was there at a boot sale Only used it a few times untill i bought another but i didnt sell it no need for it as the newer one was an upgrade
