I have had a couple of requests from members to make modifications to there cars photos on here after mentioning i was ok at using photoshop. lol. Woops.

Thought i'd start a thread with some before and after pictures for those that might be interested. If i have put this in the wrong place I apologise. please could you move it to the correct forum.

Just about to finish the first couple so will post them shortly.

All new requests welcome just PM me :D

Not bad....You might want to work on getting your black parts to retain some reflections to stop them looking so matt, but keep at it! (y)

Yeah im struggling with that bit but unfortunatley do not have photoshop. I have been using Paint.Net to do them which is good but doesnt have all the features.

How would you go about doing this?

I had a quick go....And I mean quick! :p

Basically to keep the reflections, you I duplicated the roof panel into a new layer, desaturated it, and then adjusted the levels to make it sit right with the other cars in the pic....This way you keep the reflections. The trouble is, black is very hard to get 'just right'.... :bang:

For a quick go that looks awsome. Ill have to see if i can find a familiar feature in Paint.Net.

Do you take requests? lol
 
I have to agree you can't really call it photoshopping if you don't have photoshop!

There are plenty of other program's you can use to get similar results, without everything having a matt finish. I think one called 'Gimp' is a free to download open source alternative.
