Very good, have you linked the circuit to a hotshoe for flash triggering ?

Sort of, the flash is an old Minolta affair, and there is a hot shoe along with a 2.5mm jack plug, which we decided to use instead.

I tell you the voltage across that thing is frightening ~110V when firing :O Something i didnt realise - using a flash like that can fry your camera...It is well worth checking the flash discharge voltage is rated well enough for your camera!
