Play nicely boys, not all us VW fans are daft enough to choose fashion over function and go for stretched rubber.
I for one think its dangerous, as well as daft.. as it voids your insurance since its illegal.

I'm a bit of a go between with the whole Volkswagen vs every other car thing... Whilst I love my dubs i'll still stand up for anything Italian when the bf is making quips about wiring

And there's nout wrong with P reg...

a) why resurect this old thread, and

b) the average tyre stretch is not illegal

you go too far, and yes its dangerous (and therefore illegal) but a smaller stretch is fine for most cars.... just dont expect to go very fast round corners though.
