Re: Ats Cup Alloy Wheels

Any average person wouldn't do it. Its normally the semi retarded V Dub crew that do it on there crappy polo's :tosser:

Ah euro styling.....my own personal pet peeve...especially the wheels that look like pressed a polished version of the painted steel jobs you got as standard on cheap cars in the 80s :yuck:

ach, some people are just philistines

nah, i do kind of agree with some of the negative comments, but sometimes its just down to what you yourself think is cool on your car. personally, i would have the Compo's for looks any day, but i think with the right ride height it could look good with the lenzo's....
WTF is wrong with those alloys anyway, they are inoffensive and complement the car, IMO, rather than standing out

EDIT: er... polished steelies look great on some cars. thats not an opinion, thats a fact

Play nicely boys, not all us VW fans are daft enough to choose fashion over function and go for stretched rubber.
I for one think its dangerous, as well as daft.. as it voids your insurance since its illegal.

I'm a bit of a go between with the whole Volkswagen vs every other car thing... Whilst I love my dubs i'll still stand up for anything Italian when the bf is making quips about wiring :p

And there's nout wrong with P reg...

a) why resurect this old thread, and

b) the average tyre stretch is not illegal

you go too far, and yes its dangerous (and therefore illegal) but a smaller stretch is fine for most cars.... just dont expect to go very fast round corners though.
