keep meaning to get a decent book on the basics of photoshop (someone recomended a book to get, i forget now who it was by). anyways. i've been having a play. i aint happy with the big dark bit in the top right.

not too sure best way to tackle that, should i just crop it, or try lightening it again and adding some definition to it?

can i ask that if you make any suggestions that i do to this, can you explain how - assume i'm an idiot and don't know anything about the software. i learn better this way. thanks :)

i think it looks pretty good as it is now, i have no suggestions as i am a novice in photoshop but the transformation looks good!

makes it look like a drawing or painting busboy looks pretty good how you manage that?

gradient maps :p

or could use an overlay.

duplicate the background layer as a new layer, then you can apply a gradient overlay using the little effect button in the layers window. just play about with that changing the opacity levels of the colours.. allows you to darken specific parts of the image but blend them too etc.
