Hi i am new to all this. The other morning i came out to find my windscreen frozen.I applied de-icer to the screen then jumped into the car to turn on the wipers to clear the windscreen,the wiper moved about an inch then stopped dead. I have checked the fuse which is fine,I can also here the motor but have no movement on my front wipers at all any ideas?

Hi, :)

normally there is a linkage on a ball-joint which CAN wear and pop-off

the wiper motor isn't the easiest to access. my suggestion would be;

with power OFF, lift up BOTH wiper arms so the "stand to attention"
then see if either will move in their natural arc..

if 1 does , but not the other it's a linkage popped off:eek:

let us know what you find, ;)

I have the exact same problem, happening in the exact same situation on Friday morning. Did you manage to fix it, and if so, how?

Cheers
